The iPad is not great for coding

Remember when I said I could now code on my iPad (see post)? I take that back!

The first issue is that Cloud9 crashes every once in a while. The alternative is to work over SSH, but then it’s it’s really sluggish.

I also found three alternatives to Cloud9:

  • The first one was free but extremely buggy and I couldn't even browse files easily.
  • The other cost five dollars. It looked much better, but it would sometimes refresh file trees forever.
  • The last one costs a whopping $20. I won't spend that kind of money on an ID.

Also coding with an iPad means that you will not have access to Chrome developer tools. At this rate, better go for a cheap Chromebook.
